Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 20, 2025

Trillion Cells, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a company registered in Montserrado County, Republic of Liberia, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect through the Vue Vision mobile application (“App”), how we use and share that information, and the choices you have regarding our handling of your data. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Registration: When you sign up, we ask for your name, email address, phone number, and a password. We use this to create and secure your account.

  • Profile Details: You may choose to add a profile photo, select your business category (e.g., retail shop, restaurant), indicate your interests, or specify other preferences. This helps us personalize your experience and show relevant content.

  • User Content: Anything you post—such as reviews of businesses, star ratings, comments in chats, or photos/videos of places you visit—is stored and may be displayed to other users, depending on your privacy settings.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: We log which screens you visit, how long you stay on each feature, which buttons you tap, and the sequence of actions you take. This “clickstream” data helps us improve the App’s layout and performance.

  • Device Information: We collect your device model (e.g., iPhone 13, Samsung Galaxy S21), operating system version (e.g., iOS 17, Android 14), App version number, and unique device identifiers. This allows us to troubleshoot crashes and ensure compatibility.

  • Location Data: With your permission, we collect GPS or network-based location data to power features like “Nearby Businesses” and live in‑store engagement. If you decline, those features will be disabled but you can still use the App’s other functionalities.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Social Media Accounts: If you link your Facebook, Google, or other social media account for convenience, we receive your basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) and any other data you authorize.

  • Analytics Providers: We use services such as Google Analytics to gather anonymized statistics about traffic patterns and feature usage; these providers do not receive your personal identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Service Delivery: Authenticate your login, maintain your account, and enable core features (e.g., saving favorites, retrieving your settings).

  • Personalization: Recommend businesses and offers based on your stated interests, past activity, and location. For example, if you frequently explore cafés, we’ll highlight nearby coffee shops first.

  • Communications: Send you transactional messages (account confirmations, password resets), service announcements (new features, scheduled maintenance), and, with your consent, marketing offers or surveys.

  • Safety & Security: Detect and prevent fraudulent behavior, spam, and unauthorized access. We monitor patterns that may indicate abuse and take action to protect you and the community.

  • Analytics & Improvement: Analyze aggregated data to understand how people use the App, identify performance bottlenecks, and prioritize new features in line with our Win‑Win Commerce mission.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share data only as follows:

  1. Service Providers: Companies we hire to run our servers, process payments, deliver emails, or provide analytics—all under strict confidentiality agreements.

  2. Business Partners: With your explicit opt‑in, we may share your profile details or usage insights to power location‑based promotions (e.g., a café sending you a discount code while you’re nearby).

  3. Legal & Safety: To comply with legal obligations (e.g., responding to lawful subpoenas), and to protect the rights, property, or safety of Trillion Cells, our users, or others.

  4. Corporate Changes: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale, user data may be transferred; the new entity must continue to honor this policy.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our partners use:

  • Cookies: Small files placed on your device to remember your login state, language preference, and other settings.

  • Web Beacons & SDKs: Tiny, invisible images or code snippets that track email opens and App performance.

  • Local Storage: To cache data for offline use, speeding up load times when connectivity is poor.

You can manage or disable cookies through your device’s settings, but doing so may limit certain features.

5. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Retained as long as you maintain an active account.

  • Transactional Records: Kept for up to 5 years for legal and tax compliance.

  • Anonymized Analytics: Stored indefinitely in aggregated form to help us refine the App over time.

When you delete your account, we will deactivate your profile immediately and remove your personal data within 60 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may:

  • Access & Update: View or correct your personal information via the App’s settings or by contacting us.

  • Data Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine‑readable format.

  • Deletion: Ask us to delete your account and personal data.

  • Opt‑Out: Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” or emailing info@trillioncells.com.

Submit requests by emailing us with “Privacy Request” in the subject line; we aim to respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We employ industry‑standard measures, including:

  • Encryption: TLS for data in transit and AES‑256 for sensitive data at rest.

  • Access Controls: Role‑based permissions, multi‑factor authentication for administrative access.

  • Network Protections: Firewalls, intrusion detection, and regular vulnerability assessments.

While we strive to protect your data, please choose strong passwords and notify us immediately of any suspicious account activity.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe we have done so, please contact us to have such data deleted.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in Liberia or other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure that any cross‑border transfer complies with applicable laws and employs appropriate safeguards.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will:

  1. Post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date.

  2. Notify you of material changes via in‑App notification or email at least 30 days before they take effect.

Continued use of the App after changes signifies acceptance of the revised policy.
